2025 Fall Season
- Wanted
Set in a dusty frontier town under the grip of a corrupt mayor, Wanted tells the story of power, rebellion, and justice. The show opens with the townspeople forced into labor while the mayor and his loyal sheriffs (the percussion section) impose their authority and keep the people under control. From within this oppression, one figure refuses to comply- the Outlaw.
In the second movement, to the haunting strains of House of the Rising Sun, a featured trombone soloist stands beside the imprisoned Outlaw, underscoring his struggle and resilience. The colorguard, portraying a group of courageous townspeople, break the Outlaw free from jail. Together, they rally against the mayor’s rule, planting the seeds of rebellion.
The third movement shifts the story: the Outlaw is no longer the one who is wanted...instead, the corrupt mayor becomes the true target. With Wanted Dead or Alive driving the momentum, the townspeople rise against the mayor and his sheriffs in a climactic showdown. At last, the mayor is thrown into jail, the sheriffs are defeated, and the town is free.
