Immaculata High School Indoor Drumline invites audiences on a nostalgic ride back to the mid-to-late 90’s—a decade defined by bold colors, bigger personalities, and the unmistakable soundtrack of a generation. Class of ’97 blends iconic music, emotional flashpoints, and unforgettable pop-culture moments to recreate the high-school experience just before the turn of the millennium, capturing the electric energy of a time when everything felt new, loud, and full of possibility.
Through bright, bold imagery and the unmistakable fashion of the era—think neon windbreakers, denim for days, chokers, flannels, and bucket hats—the floor transforms into the hallways, classrooms and hangout spots that shaped a generation. The ensemble channels the spirit of school dances, mixtape culture, early internet curiosity, and the thrill of growing up in a world on the edge of massive change.
Musically, the show weaves together the pulse of 90s pop, rock, hip-hop, and techno—icons that instantly transport audiences back to their own lockers, lunch tables, and late-night TV. Emotionally, it taps into the universal moments of teenage life: the nerves before a big game, the excitement of passing notes, the glow of friendship, and the bittersweet rush of senior year.
Class of ’97 isn’t just a performance—it’s a sense-memory time machine, celebrating one of the most culturally defining eras through the eyes of the students whose parents lived it.
