North Hagerstown High School Hub Band
2021 Program
- The Music of Rush
Please welcome to the field the 2021 North Hagerstown High School Hub Marching Band. The Hub Band proudly presents our 2021 production of THE MUSIC OF RUSH.
Our show this year was inspired by the passing of legendary Rush drummer and lyricist Neil Peart (Peert). We take a voyage during the show interweaving the music of YYZ (Y Y ZED) and Closer To The Heart from the award winning Canadian band RUSH. Our original music was composed by Neil Peart, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson.
Our voyage takes off with the morse code call from the Toronto Pearson Airport. We “move around. The small gets big, it’s a rig. It’s action, reaction. Random interaction. So who’s afraid of the little abstraction?†As we chart our course through this journey, we find returning home is actually “Closer to the Heart.â€
The Hub Band is under the direction of Jessica Manor. This year’s show was arranged by Colby Kuzontkoski, Mark Lortz and Jeff Hope. Drill design by Jessica Manor. The band staff includes Brad O’Connor, Christina Roncin, Leanna Hollis and Zoe Galica.
The band is led onto the field by Drum Major Anna Steig.
The students and staff would like to thank the parents for their continuing support.
Sit back enjoy as “we get out there and rock and Roll the Bones!â€
