- "A Date Which Will Live In Infamy..."
80 years ago, Americans huddled around the radio as a touchstone to a world beleaguered with war.
Many sought connections to loved ones overseas, and others tuned in to hear sweet tunes and croons...a
welcomed distraction from the fear of conflicts abroad. Heroes fought valiantly to keep the fight from ever
reaching our shores. By moonlight, they boogied and jived, swinging to burly big band hits, but on the
morning of December 7th, 1941, all of that changed in a moment....an unforeseen impact that rippled across the
radio waves to a shocked and sorrowful nation. Today, we can look to the bravery of those lost and the lessons
of the past to remind us what it means to bounce back, move forward, and honor the legacy of our heroes.
