2022 Fall Season

A Child's Odyssey

The story opens with two overworked and overstressed parents dealing with their own individual business and family issues, while their young son earnestly vies for their attention by showing them a drawing he has just completed. The boy becomes more and more insistent, until mom & dad shout "Not Now!" Discouraged, young Matthew heads to bed expressing that it's no fun being a kid and wishes that it would be great to be a grown-up. Sleep comes and in his dreams, his wish to be an adult comes true.
Thrilled and excited to be in the hustle & bustle of the adult business world, he revels in this new experience, offering his opinions and ideas to his bosses until reality sets in and he's answered with "You're Fired". He then realizes that being an adult is not such a great thing and that being a kid just might be better. In his dream, he sees children playing all around him, thinks of his parents and knows that childhood is a wonderful place to be and longs to be there.
Matthew awakens to his parents asking to see his drawing and knows that this was all a dream and that it really is great to be a kid!
