USBands Expands with New Texas Regional Championships

Combining the growth of USBands events in Texas and the support of DeMoulin Uniforms, USBands is proud to introduce a new series of events to better meet bands where they are at: competitively and geographically, with a series of new Regional Championships in the three main Texas metropolitan areas the organization serves.

Beginning in the fall of 2026, popular events in Crowley, Austin and Baytown will be expanded to second contest sites with competitions divided by Group 1-2-3 at one location and Group 3-4-5 at a second location. Group 3 Directors will have the discretion to compete at events with smaller or larger bands based on the goals for their students and the overall program.

Sean King, Executive Director of USBands said in announcing the new format, “For several years, the registration for events in Crowley, Austin and Baytown have exceeded capacity and, in order to accommodate the largest number of schools, while providing the highest quality of logistics and adjudication, including Meet & Greet sessions between prelims and finals, the expansion to second sites improves the overall experience for every band attending.” 

King continued, “Additionally, by separating the divisions by Group 1-2-3 at one site and 3-4-5 at a second site, there is a more equitable opportunity for bands to earn their way into the Finals competition.”

Registration for the Texas Regional Championships Presented by DeMoulin Uniforms, along with the entire 2026 USBands Texas Fall Marching Schedule, begins on March 1 with Exclusive Priority Registration for Member Schools and March 4 for Open Registration for all remaining schools.
