Summer Education Series Announced
This summer, USBands is bringing exciting educational opportunities to students and educators nationwide with some of DCI's top performers and faculty! DCI Event Day Clinics, powered by USBands, will be held at select DCI events this summer with top DCI corps and feature fast-paced, content-rich clinics for students and educators of every level of experience. And with the return of in-person multi-day USBands Summer Education Camps powered by The Blue Devils, there's something for everyone's schedule, learning goals, and areas of interest.
All events feature expert instructors, section-specific breakouts, leadership sessions, and the opportunity to learn side-by-side with a drum corps in residence. Take this time to get inspired, get motivated, and connect with some of the best-known names in the activity!

Multi-Day Workshops
Led by Frank Troyka, high school students follow an intensive curriculum of music and visual techniques taught by Blue Devils alumni and current instructional team members. Separate tracks for winds, percussion, guard and drum majors provide hands-on training for 1-2 days before spending a full day with the Blue Devils. The multi-day workshop is capped off by attending a DCI competition featuring the Blue Devils and other top DCI corps.
DCI Day of Event Clinics
Entering its fourth year of events, the DCI Day of Event Clinics provide high school students and educators with a 4-hour introduction to the corps-in-residence before attending the evening DCI competition. Attendees take part in a leadership session before participating in a side-by-side experience alongside corps members and then have an opportunity to immerse themselves in the corps’ production during the ensemble rehearsal.
Leadership Academy
The newest of USBands’ program offerings provides a leadership workshop for drum majors, guard captains and section leaders on intermediate and advanced skills needed to lead successful marching band programs through the rigorous rehearsal, performance and competition schedule. Meanwhile, attendees will hone leadership skills and traits transferable to their future academic and professional pursuits.
