New World Class Division Debuts

As part of USBands Next Generation initiative and to meet music programs “where they are” competitively, creatively and geographically, USBands is excited to announce the creation of an all-new World Class classification at select Texasevents during the 2024 season.

The goal of the World Class designation would allow for ensembles performing at the highest levels of national achievement to receive all the benefits of USBands participation including performances at exceptional venues, assessment and commentary from the top tier of recognized adjudicators and service from a full-time staff dedicated to providing remarkable experiences for educators, students and parents.

The introduction of the World Class will not affect the vast majority of participating bands or the current competitive environment, but affords the opportunity for all ensembles to participate at events in a way that allows for them to achieve their goals.

Qualification into the new World Class level of participation will be determined on several factors including number of participating students, historical achievements of the program and geographical and schedule considerations.
