My love for music and marching band began in high school, where I participated in the pit for the marching band at Norwood High School and played viola in the orchestra. When my children entered marching band, I took on the role of parent volunteer, which eventually led to becoming the fundraising chair and, ultimately, the President of the Parents of Performing Students (POPS) in Stoughton. Both of my children have graduated; one is now a music major at the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) at the University of Cincinnati, and the other is a physical therapy student at Sacred Heart University, where she continues her passion for color guard. Now, I find myself missing my involvement in marching band and look forward to learning from a new perspective and helping to run shows from the other side of the field.
