Dan Gould

Dan Gould has been a part of the marching arts for over 30 years in a variety of visual staff roles throughout competitive high school marching band and drum corps. As a marching member Dan was a part of four consecutive New York State Field Band Conference State Championships (NYSFBC) and numerous Bands of America (BOA) Regional and National Finalist appearances, including a National Championship with West Genesee HS (Camillus, NY). Dan’s drum corps marching experience includes performing with the Syracuse Brigadiers and Phantom Regiment.

A visual staff member for numerous groups since 1994, he was a part of 6 additional NYSFBC Championships as well as winning 2 consecutive DCI Division II “High Visual” Caption Awards and a DCI Division II World Championship (Rochester Patriots). Dan has worked with multiple North Carolina high school marching band programs, most recently spending 8 years with Cox Mill High School, in Charlotte.

As an adjudicator, while judging in other areas, Dan’s primary focus and priority in his fall judging schedule is with US Bands, where he has completed all 3 levels of Adjudicator Training.

Dan is a graduate of Syracuse University and Comair Aviation Academy and has been an airline pilot for over 20 years. He is currently an Airbus A320 Captain, based in Atlanta, GA. Dan lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife Becky and sons, Nicholas and Andrew.
