A native of Alliance, Ohio, Sharon holds a B.S. in Communications, English Education, and Theater from Bowling Green State University (OH) and earned her M.S. in School Counseling from Capella University (MN). She currently serves as a High School Counselor for Forsyth County Schools and as Lead Designer and Choreographer for Baldwin High School in Milledgeville, GA.

Sharon began her career in 1994 as a freelance choreographer, designer, and clinician, collaborating with numerous successful color guard programs across Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, Kansas, Florida, and California. From 2013–2017, she was the Color Guard Program Director at Castle High School (IN), where the program earned the 2014 and 2015 Indiana High School Color Guard Association Scholastic A Championships, became a 2015 WGI Scholastic A finalist, a 2016 WGI Open Class semi-finalist, and achieved its first-ever BOA Finals appearance. Her previous roles include Assistant Band Director and Color Guard Caption Head at Concord High School (NC) from 2005–2008, as well as work with Marvin Ridge HS, Thomas Worthington HS, and Collierville HS. Recent projects include Boonville HS “Band of Gold” (IN), Mooresville HS Winter Guard (IN), Artistry IN Blue Winter Guard (OH), and JSU Center Stage Winter Guard (AL).
She also served as Color Guard Caption Head for the inaugural season of the Memphis Sound Drum and Bugle Corps in 2003 and has choreographed for Marching Show Concepts (Ft. Wayne, IN) and Creative Solutions (ID).

An experienced adjudicator, Sharon has judged Color Guard, Visual, and Effect captions for several organizations and has been a US Bands adjudicator since 2005. She is an active winter guard and percussion judge for OIPA, WGPO, CIPA, AIA, GCJA, WGAZ, and MCCGC.

Known for her ability to build strong relationships and foster a supportive environment, Sharon excels at instilling confidence in performers of all levels and strives to provide the same type of positivity in her commentary.
