Jonathan has been a visual instructor, caption head, and consultant in Marching Band & Indoor Percussion since 2007, working with groups such as Norwich, Mohonesan, Corning-Painted Post, Webster, The White Sabers DCA Corps, Cicero-North Syracuse, West Genesee, and The Spartans DCI Corps. He is an alumnus of The Syracuse Brigadiers DCA Drum Corps (03, 05-08), the Santa Clara Vanguard (09-10), and The Vanguard 50th Anniversary Alumni Corps (17). Along with USBands, Jonathan is also an adjudicator with the New York State Field Band Conference, the New York State Percussion Circuit, the Keystone Indoor Drill Association, the MidYork Color Guard Circuit, the Northeast Color Guard Circuit, and the Winter Guard Association of Southern California.
Jonathan has also worked logistics and administration for The Santa Clara Vanguard (11&18), Mandarins (17), & The Cadets (19-21).
Outside the Marching Arts, Jonathan holds a BA in History, an MAT in Social Studies Adolescent Education from Binghamton University, and is currently teaching Global Studies at Elmira City School District, while also enrolled as a doctoral student at the University at Albany studying Educational Theory & Practice.
