
Mario Casanova is a recently retired Band Director after 30 years of teaching throughout the state of Texas.
He attended North Texas State University where he received a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. He then attended The Juilliard School where he received a Master's degree in Music Performance.
Mr. Casanova taught at Euless Trinity High School his last 14 years. His marching band traveled/competed in many out of state BOA Super Regionals.
While he was at Winston Churchill High School in San Antonio, the marching band competed at the BOA Grand Nationals competition making finals in 1999 and 2002. The Churchill Marching Band also came in 3rd place at the UIL Texas State Marching Contest in 2000 and 4th place in 2002.
He has presented clinics at the Texas Music Educators Association convention as well as the Texas Bandmasters Association convention. Mr. Casanova has conducted at the Midwest Clinic convention and also the Jazz Education Network convention.
