Paul Sauberer

Paul Sauberer is a veteran of the pageantry arts activity, and has been involved in the marching band and color guard scene for over 16 years. He has been an integral component in the success of many band and color guard programs through design, instructing, and consulting. Currently, Paul is an adjudicator with the Florida Marching Band Championships, Western Bands Association, US Bands, Florida Federation of Colorguard Circuit, Carolina Winter Ensemble Association, South Florida Winter Guard Association, North Texas Colorguard Association, and various other indoor circuits. Most recently, Paul was the Color Guard Director at Park Vista High School in Lake Worth, FL for over 10 years. During his tenure, Park Vista was awarded multiple local, regional, and state championships, BOA Super Regional Finalist, BOA Regional Class AAAA Champion, and BOA Grand National Semi-Finalist. The winter guard received numerous local and regional awards, and was named Winter Guard International’s 2018 Scholastic Open Class Champion. Paul also served as the Director of STRYKE Independent Winter Guard and was the color guard director and designer at Seminole Ridge High School, in Loxahatchee, FL in 2017 and 2018.

Paul has designed and taught for programs such as Park Vista HS (Lake Worth, FL), Jupiter HS (Jupiter, FL), West Broward HS (Pembroke Pines, FL), Castle HS (Newburgh, IN), East View HS (Apple Valley, MN), STRYKE Winter Guard (Palm Beach, FL), STRYKE Percussion World (Hollywood, FL), STRYKE Wynds (West Palm Beach, FL), Braddock Independent Winter Guard (Miami, FL), Mater Academy (Miami, FL), Somerset Academy (Pembroke Pines, FL), and various other programs around the country. Paul is actively involved in the South Florida Winter Guard Association circuit, where he served as the Vice President of Color Guard, and currently serves on the classification committee. Paul has also previously served as a member of the WGI Color Guard Advisory Board.

Outside of the pageantry arts world, this is Paul’s 11th year as an educator. Currently, Paul is pursuing his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Social Studies Education at the University of South Florida and working as a research assistant within the College of Education. Most recently, Paul was the Professional Learning Community/Learning Team Facilitator, and Social Studies Coach at Okeeheelee Middle School and was selected as the 2022 School District of Palm Beach County South Region Teacher of the Year.
