
Jace McMullin earned his bachelors in Music Education from Mississippi State University in 2011, Masters in Music Education from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2015, his Doctorate in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University in 2021, and his Educational Specialist degree in Administration from Arkansas State University in 2025.
Currently Jace serves as an administrator in the Vicksburg Warren School District in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He spent 14 years (2011-2025) in the same district as a band director where he taught color guard, marching fundamentals, visuals, the overall marching band as well as the top concert performing ensemble in the program. His color guards consistently received superior ratings and best in class awards while he was the guard director. His guards also were finalists in WGI regional events and participated in WGI World championships in 2016 and 2018. Under his direction, his marching bands consistently received superior ratings and best in class awards for music, and visual performances.
Jace also served on the color guard staff for the Louisiana Drum and Bugle Corps during the 2018-2022 where he was the co-caption head for the 2022 season. His performance experience includes Statement Independent Winter Guard for the 2009 and 2010 seasons and Conversion Independent Winter Guard for the 2020 season.
