Robert Dubinski

Bob Dubinski has been involved in the Marching Arts since 1970. He started as a member of the Garfield Cadets where he served as Drum Captain from 1974 – 1976. After completing his tenure with the Cadets, he went on to teach the Bayonne Bridgemen where he participated on the drum staff from 1977 – 1983. While he was teaching the drum corps, he also earned his B.A. in Music Education from Kean University. Upon graduation in 1978 he was hired as band director for the Lodi New Jersey School Corporation. While teaching at Lodi, he earned his M.A. in Music Education from Jersey City State University. In 1985 he was hired by the Star of Indiana Drum and Bugle Corps where he served on the staff until 1993. In 1986 he moved his family to Indiana and was hired by the Monroe County School Corporation to be the band director of Bloomington H.S. South where he served until retirement in 2019. In addition to the Bridgemen and Star of Indiana he also spent time teaching and consulting for The Bluecoats, Magic of Orlando, The New York Skyliners, The Hawthorne Caballeros and The Bushwackers. His judging experience includes working for The Indiana Percussion Association, The Tri State Judges Association, US Bands and the Kentucky Music Educators Association. Bob has been married to his wife Roseanna since 1979 and has 3 adult children. He is also a member of his churches Worship Team.
