I have been a band parent since my son was a sophomore trumpet and ended as a senior drum major with the South Brunswick Vikings. I continued when my daughter was a colorguard performer for the Vikings.
Once they moved on to West Chester I watched them perform with the Golden Rams and started volunteering at USBands shows part time. Once they finished their band shows I went full time working USBands shows.
I truly enjoy seeing the bands perform at shows whether it is a smaller high school show or a bigger show at MetLife or J Birney Crum. I have worked at all stations with the exception of Adjudication Tech. I like field and gate coordinator for local shows and then logistics or bus/truck coordinator for larger shows
I also work a few DCI shows and the college marching band festival.
I personally have no musical skills as I was removed from the middle school band (my drumming threw off the band) but truly love seeing the youth perform at events.
