Robert Normandeau is a native Long Islander. He received his B.S. in Music Education from Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland, and received his Master’s Degree from SUNY Stony Brook in Stony Brook, New York. He has taught music for over a decade in Suffolk and Nassau counties on Long Island, NY. Robert has worked with various marching bands and winter guard programs around Long Island, designing award winning shows for numerous competitive circuits in the tri-state area. Robert is a member of the New York Federation of Contest Judges (NYFCJ), judging for New York State Field Band Conference (NYSFBC) and USBands in the fall. In the winter, Robert is an adjudicator for the Mid-Atlantic Indoor Network (MAIN) as well as other circuits such as MYCGC, GCGPC, CWEA, and OIPA. In his free time, he is an adjudicator for the New York State Scholastic Music Association (NYSSMA) solo & ensemble festivals, and writes drill for local marching band programs.
