Tommy Kaplan
Pronouns - He/Him

Tommy began his career in the marching arts as a member of the Bunnell HS Marching Band (from Stratford, CT) back in 1996. He has been involved in marching band and winter guard ever since!

Having found a passion for the activity, he continued performing for the CT Hurricanes Drum and Bugle Corps from 1999-2007 and had the pleasure of touring with The Crossmen in 2002 for their Signature Series.

Over his decades of dedication to the marching arts community, Tommy has taught many programs that went on to gain local, regional, and national awards and titles (including multiple Fans Favorite awards). His experience of teaching, teching, consulting, and directing includes: Bunnell HS, Stamford HS, Newtown HS, Danbury HS, and most recently served as the Director of Color Guard for Naugatuck HS for quite some time. He appreciates the continued support of local school administrations to continue pushing marching arts in their school systems and beyond, and is excited to be able to share his experience, knowledge, and support through adjudication.

Tommy also serves on the Executive Board for the Musical Arts Conference, including responsibilities as the Website Administrator and Scheduling Coordinator. He has a Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Administration, and works as a Senior Clinical Development Manager for an organization that helps find curative treatments for patients with cancer across the globe. Tommy lives in Orange, CT with his husband and two sons.
