I have always been involved in music and the arts. With a BA in Dance (minor theatre) I spent the next five years on the audition trail in NYC. I auditioned for the likes of the Rockettes, Bob Fosse, Joe Papp, Twyla Tharp and more. While I had several positive audition results, my height at the time was often my downfall. During that time, I was also member of a professional children’s theatre troupe as their movement specialist as well as performed with them both in-house and as part of a traveling program that gave school performances. With a break to be Mom, I had five children each with unique interests and abilities, so I didn’t come back to the arts until my youngest entered high school and joined the marching band as part of the color guard. I spent four active years with the band parent organization serving as “guard mom” (marching and indoor 4 years), secretary and then president of the exec board. I then followed my daughter to Emanon Winter Guard and became admin and guard mom there for two years as well as photo mom for the Rutgers Marching Scarlet Knights for three years. I came back as ”guard mom” for two years at the high school while my daughter was instructor there. Then in 2014 I joined USBands as a volunteer for NJStates and Open Nationals. In 2016 I officially became part of the Event Staff and have been enjoying spending my weekends with all the talented people I get to meet. You will often find me on the 50-yard line at events, so please come say hello!!!
