Karl comes from a lineage of Drum Corps and Marching Arts with a family who was involved in Drum Corps in the 1970s. Growing up and learning to love the marching arts was an integral part of his childhood. 2007 marked the year when his love for the marching arts became a reality after attending the DCI World Championships.
Since then, Karl was a member of The Cascades, The Blue Devils, and a small independent winter-guard. He holds a Bachelors in Music from Central Washington University, and has taught Movement and Visual in marching bands across the country for The Crossmen, The Madison Scouts, and The Blue Stars, while this will be his 5th year adjudicating with US Bands.
Karl currently lives in Waco, Texas
