Jim has been involved in the marching music arena for over 30 years as an adjudicator, instructor, arranger, and performer. He has judged percussion and various music captions with USBands since 1998, and he also judges indoor percussion with USBands. Jim is the Vice President of the New Jersey Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society, and a member of the Vic Firth Education team. He has taught and arranged for many successful percussion programs including the Hawthorne Caballeros, Middletown North High School, Kearny High School, Northern Burlington County Regional High School, Columbia High School, and currently Linden and Freehold Twshp High Schools. Jim holds a BA in Music from Kean University, where he studied percussion under James Musto and James Thomas.
