Evan Young hails from Plainsboro, NJ and is an elementary band director in Marlboro, NJ. He holds a Bachelor’s in Music Education from Rutgers University-Mason Gross School of the Arts and a Master's in French Horn Performance from Ithaca College. Evan has been involved in marching music since 2003. Over the years, he has worked with band programs such as South Brunswick, Piscataway, JP Stevens and Marlboro high schools as well as drum corps such as The Cadets & Cadets2 and The Bushwackers as a Mellophone Technician. From 2015-2020, Evan was the Mellophonist in Gallant Entertainment's "City Beats Band" which was the official band of the New York City Football Club. In addition to teaching and marching music, Evan is a freelance French Hornist in the tristate area and performs with groups such as The Eastern Wind Symphony and The Brook Orchestra. Evan has been adjudicating with USBands since 2017.
