Michael Vazquez began marching band and winter guard in high school as a member of the legendary Shikellamy Marching Braves from Sunbury, PA. Muchael continued marching drum corps and independent winter guard programs until 2012.
Michael was the founder and director of ATX Winterguard from Austin, TX. from 2009-2017. Michael worked with Lehigh Valley Knights, Frontier, Austin Stars (TX) and Genesis drum corps, and instructed award winning high school marching bands and scholastic and independent winter guard programs in Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, and Maryland.
Michael began judging winter guard in 2007, and judging visual and colorguard for USBands in 2009. In 2017, Michael began judging visual for indoor percussion and winds.
Michael is a National Board Certified Tescher specializing in students with mild to moderate learning disabilities, holds 2 education Master's degrees (digital and special education), and is currently pursuing an EdD in special education.
