Eric James is the Director of Operations for USBands, where he leads the operations team who oversee all aspects of the planning and execution of nearly 200 events per year.
Eric has previously led fundraising and community outreach initiatives at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley, including the annual Bowl for Kids Sake event, as the Director of Events and Fundraising. In 2020, Eric lead the move from an in-person to online fundraising event, helping BBBSLV secure nearly $100,000 in critical funding.
He remains active in the broader nonprofit and performing arts community as president of the Upper Schuylkill Band, and performing on trombone, euphonium, and tuba with numerous community bands throughout the Lehigh Valley and Northeastern Pennsylvania.
He holds a B.S. in Professional Education from West Chester University with minors in Political Science and Education Policy, along with professional certification in fundraising from Villanova University. He holds certifications in crowd safety management from the ICC and NASFM. Eric is also a professional member of the Event Safety Alliance, where he continues to advance best practices in live event operations and risk management.
