The pageantry arts have been Chris’ passion for 4 decades as a performer, instructor, arranger/composer, program coordinator, and adjudicator. Chris has instructed, arranged, and composed winds charts for some of the world’s finest drum and bugle corps including Phantom Regiment, Madison Scouts, Mandarins, Colts, Glassmen, the 27th Lancers, and many others. In 2024, Chris was inducted into the Colts Hall of Fame for ten years work there as music arranger, program coordinator and assistant director. He is also active as a winds composer and arranger for some of the activity's best competitive high school and college marching bands across the United States.

Chris uses this long creative and technical experience in the marching arts at marching bands and indoor pageantry competitions as an adjudicator for USBands and WGI Sport of the Arts. For more than 15 years, Chris was president of the Mideast Judges Association, for 10 plus years as Judge Representative for the Mid East Performance Association, and for 10 years as WGI Mideast Regional Director. In 2025, he was inducted into the Mideast Performance Association Hall of Fame for his 30 plus years of work for the circuit organization.

He studied music composition at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and music education at Case Western Reserve University, and the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Chris is currently a Senior Consultant and Lead Trainer for BenchmarkPortal, the global leader in call center benchmarking, certification, training and consulting where he provides training and consulting services to world class contact centers operations in the US and Canada. He lives in Cincinnati Ohio with Carla, his wife of 38 years, and his beloved Pit Bull Rosie.
