Mr. David Snead holds a Masters in Music degree in Performance and Education from James Madison University and a Bachelors of Music Education degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Mr. Snead is currently now retired from The Virginia Beach City Schools after 30 years of service at Bayside HS and Bayside MS. He is currently in his 47th year of judging , designing. arranging and teaching in the marching arts field and is a nationally recognized adjudicator serving in numerous judging circuits throughout the United States. Former member and staff instructor of The Spirit of Atlanta, and The Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, Mr. Snead is currently the Director of the Virginia Odyssey Drum and Bugle Corps, a newly founded drum corps in the Virginia Beach and Chesapeake areas in Southeastern Virginia, hoping to field a junior drum corps soon, post Covid19. David continues to perform on drumset, work with marching units in both the Fall and Winter circuits, and makes his home on the Northwest River in Chesapeake, VA. with his wife Kimberly, while continuing to enjoy retirement activities such as golf and fishing.
