Mike Schmitt has served as a Battery Arranger, Ensemble Coordinator, Caption Head and program consultant for both marching bands and drum corps..
Mike began his marching arts career as a Marching member with the Hawthorne Caballeros from 1999-2010, earning a world championship in 2003. In 2011, Mike joined the Connecticut Hurricanes as Caption Head, Battery Arranger, and Ensemble Coordinator through 2012. In 2012, Mike joined the team at Fusion Core and is still part of the organization as a battery consultant.
Mike has spent 22 consecutive years in DCA and was inducted in the New Jersey Drum Corps Hall of Fame in 2023. In addition to the drum corps circuit, Mike has been judging for many years for the fall marching bands and indoor percussion for multiple circuits and has been heavily involved in teaching, writing and consulting for marching bands and indoor percussion programs in New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
