I have been involved in pageantry activities for over 35 years.
I serve as a Contest Administrator for the Color Guard Division of WGI and have for over 15 years. I also serve on the World Championships Committee for WGI responsible for the organization and conduct of competitions in various facilities throughout the Dayton, Ohio area. Additionally, I served as a member of the WGI Winds Division Steering Committee having helped launch that division of WGI in 2015. I was inducted into the WGI Hall of Fame in 2018.
Locally, I am a founding member of the East Coast Judges Guild, serving as a visual adjudicator for drum corps, marching band, and winter guard through such organizations as DCA, USBands, Cavalcade of Bands, The New York State Field Band conference, The Blue Knights Friendship Cup Marching Band Series in Colorado, Mid Atlantic Indoor Network, the Musical Arts Conference, Mid Atlantic Percussion Society and independent sponsors in other locations.
I have written for and instructed numerous marching bands and winter guards in the greater New York and southern New England area such as Arlington High School, LaGrangeville, NY for whom I served as visual caption head for seven years, during which time the band captured two Musical Arts Conference titles, One New York State Field Band title and reached the semifinals in the Bands of America Grand Nationals in Indianapolis.
Initially trained as a percussionist, I performed with several junior and all- age drum corps in the greater New York area and then went on to march with the Long Island Sunrisers in the battery, as Drum Major and Corps Director. I am a member of the Sunrisers Hall of Fame.
Married with two sons, I currently reside in the Mid-Hudson Valley area of New York State.
